McLean 270 scored in the second, third, fourth and fifth innings, but Springfield kept answering. Springfield scored four runs in the first, added one in the second, erupted for 10 in the third and scored three more in the fourth.
Paul finished 3-for-3 with a double and four RBIs, Mahns also had two hits and four RBIs, and Dean Johnson went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs. Calvin Colon added two hits and an RBI, while Shane Dunn reached twice and scored four runs. Springfield also stole seven bases as a team, with Dunn swiping three.
