8–9
· Final, 8–9

Alexandria 24 erased a five-run deficit and edged Lorton Post 162, 10-9, on Sunday at John R. Lewis High School, taking the lead for good on an error in the ninth. Lorton had built an 8-3 cushion after a five-run fifth, but Alexandria kept chipping away and finished the comeback with the decisive ninth-inning run.

Lorton opened the scoring in the first when Talon Camacho scored after tagging up, and Nolan Phillips later tied it with a single down the right field line in the third. Alexandria answered with a groundout by Avner Quigley to go ahead 2-1, then Adam Knotts singled in a run in the fourth before Camacho’s flyout brought Lorton even again at 3-3.

The fifth belonged to Lorton for a stretch. The home team sent 11 batters to the plate and scored five runs on three hits, sparked by Miggy Zayas’ full-count double that drove in two. Camacho and Zayas each finished with two RBIs, while Phillips led Lorton with three hits. Zach Suga and Ethan Talente added multiple hits, and Drew Olson and Quinn Snyder drew two walks apiece as Lorton collected 13 hits and six walks.

Alexandria answered with patience and a balanced attack. Quigley, Micah Herndon, Oliver Zand, Isak Alper, Greyson McCreary, James Albus and Knotts each had a hit, and Quigley, Zand and Albus each drove in two runs. McCreary reached base three times on walks, stole two bases and helped spark the late rally, while Lorton starter Jackson Naumovich struck out seven over five innings and Jameson Kinsky took the mound for Alexandria, allowing five runs over four innings.
