Arlington Post 139 wasted no time taking control Thursday at Yorktown High School, and Jack Ingram’s big night at the plate helped push the lead all the way to a 22-0 win over Falls Church Post 130. Ingram finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs and a home run, while Arlington kept adding throughout the middle innings to pull away cleanly.

The first run came on an error, and Arlington kept layering on pressure in the third. Matthew Hilscher doubled in two runs, Aidan McCracken added 2 RBIs single, and Ingram chipped in a run-scoring hit as the inning turned into a six-run frame. Ingram then homered to center in the fourth.

Arlington finished the scoring with a nine-run fifth and two more in the sixth. McCracken finished 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs, Hilscher was 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and Nick Socknat added two hits and two RBIs. Cam Gonzalez drove in three runs, and Sean Guffey also had an RBI hit for the winners.

The home team’s patient approach showed in the box score, with Arlington drawing 13 walks and collecting 12 hits. Charlie Woolfley handled the pitching for Arlington, allowing five hits and no runs over seven innings while striking out six and walking one.

Falls Church Post 130 was limited to five hits. Gavin Berry had two of them from the leadoff spot, while Vincenzo Fiorino, Matt Kiersz and Jack Toman each added one hit. Kiersz’s double was the only extra-base hit for Falls Church.

Berry started on the mound and was charged with eight runs, three earned, over three innings. Stefan Luketic and Jack Toman also appeared in relief as Arlington kept the pressure on through the final two innings.
