McLean Post 270 vs. Arlington 139
3–19
· Final, 3–19

Arlington Post 139 jumped out quickly and kept adding on in a 19-3 win over McLean Post 270 on Saturday at McLean High School, with Adam Barrington setting the tone by homering to right field in the first inning. Arlington also took advantage of a McLean error in the opening frame, then widened the gap in the third behind a Cort Bringham single that drove in two runs, an Alex Goodell single that scored one, and an Aidan Kaminski sacrifice fly.

The visitors kept the pressure on in the fifth, when Arlington scored seven runs on four hits. Sean Guffey reached on a fielder’s choice that still brought in a run, Bringham drew a walk to force in another, Goodell doubled for two RBIs, Benjamin Crowe added an RBI single and Kaminski followed with another sacrifice fly to cap the inning’s damage.

Bringham and Goodell were the middle-of-the-order force for Arlington, each driving in five runs. Goodell finished 3-for-4, while Barrington, Guffey, Crowe, and Kailen Hackmann also turned in multiple-hit games. Bringham also drew three walks as Arlington piled up 16 hits and nine walks overall.

McLean got a productive day from Liam Palacios, who went 2-for-3 and drove in the team’s lone RBI. Aidan Ryan added two stolen bases for McLean, which managed its three runs against Arlington’s early surge but could never slow the visitors’ lineup once the scoring opened up.

On the mound, JD Rizzo gave Arlington a strong start with one hit allowed and no runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Kiran Sharma started for McLean and allowed eight hits and nine runs, eight earned, over four innings with two strikeouts and three walks.

Arlington’s lineup spread the production around while Bringham and Goodell did the heavy lifting in the heart of it, and the early home run from Barrington set the tone for a game that never tightened back up. McLean moves on to face 2026 Alexandria Post 24 on Sunday.
